Transportation in Jamaica

Option 1: Fulltime Driver and 12 Seater Van - Prepay with final villa payment
Through our experience, we have found that the van and car packages
with private driver provides the easiest and convenient way. Your driver
will personally meet and greet you at the Montego Bay Airport. Your
party will be comfortably transported, using a private van service,
direct to your villa. This way, one round trip airport transfer is also
included. A minimum of 4 consecutive days required for a private driver.

| Inclusions: | Airport transfers, meet and greet service at Airport with a sign with your name. May drive anywhere and anytime you desire service. Driver services offered 10 hour of the day, additional hours over this period is $10 US per hour to be paid directly to the driver. If the driver is expected for late night driving, he should start his work day later. Please discuss with the driver your travel plans for the day/week. |
| Groups larger than 8 passengers: | While this is a 12 seater bus, for airport transfers, space for guests's luggage will have to be taken into consideration. Groups larger than 8 passengers + luggage require a second van plus additional transfer fees. |
| Fuel: | When you rent the bus your first tank is complimentary and at the end of the rental the bus should return with a full tank of petrol. |
| Long Distance Driving: | Long distance driving may incur an extra charge for the following destinations. Destinations such as Port Antonio, Mandeville, Kingston will incur additional charge. You may inquire with your driver to quote rates and pay him directly. |
| Airport Transfers | This is a 12 seater mini bus which can hold 10-12 passengers for excursions. For airport transfers, this size van can comfortable accommodate 8 passengers plus luggage. Guest count exceeding 8 passengers plus luggage requires a second van plus additional transfer fee. |
15 seater air conditioned minivan and prvate driver is $1200 per week.
A 25 Seater bus-Weekly: with driver can be rented for $1550 weekly inclusive of 1 tank of gas. This can hold 15 persons plus luggage for airport transfers capacity.
A 25 Seater Bus - Daily Basis: With private driver
can be rented for $250 per day. This includes one complimentary tank
of gas, dedicated driver/tour guide, airport transfers and full-time
driving service. A minimum of 4 consecutive days.
Guests employing a full-time driver for the minimum four (4)consecutive
days, and wishing to take long distance trips beyond Ocho Rios, Negril
and Black River (from Montego Bay) will incur an extra charge.
Physically Challenged Passengers in Wheel Chairs:
The automatic wheel chair lifts in theses vans allow the passenger
easy access in and out of the van without having to manually lift the
wheel chair. Passengers are transported comfortably in their wheel chair.
These buses can carry approximately 5 guests with luggage, including
the wheel chair guest. The rates for this special service are:
Fulltime van and driver service for our physically challenged guests-
US$1000.00 per week or $US150 per day, for a minimum 4 days. Includes
one tank of petrol complimentary and fulltime driving service.
Airport transfer to the Montego Bay area: $50 each way
Airport transfer to Negril/Discovery Bay areas: $110 each way
Airport transfer to Ocho Rios area: $US140.00 each way
Long Distance Driving for Private driver and Mini Bus:
If you have rented a private driver and are considering taking day trips
while you are in Jamaica, you may travel to these destinations. This
is the driver rates for traveling to these long distance destinations.
You may pay him locally.
Port Antonio: $230 one way
Mandeville: $120 one way
May Pen: $170 one way
Blue Mountain: $200 one way
Kingston: $200 one way
PRIVATE CAR AND PRIVATE DRIVER: $700/week
4 door air conditioned 4 passenger car which can accommodate 3 adults
and driver comfortably.
Professional driver for week. Driver would be available 10 hours per
day. This includes both driving and waiting time. This will be a total
of 10 hours and can be broken up during the day (example: 5 hours morning,
5 hours evening etc). Additional hours should be negotiated directly
with driver. Car can only be driven by car driver. Unlimited Montego
Bay airport transfers, local trips and one long trip anywhere on the
island (such as Negril, Kingston, Port Antonio). Additional long trips
can be negotiated directly with your driver. One tank of gasoline complimentary.
Clients are responsible for additional gas purchases.
NOTE: Private driver tips for mini-bus and driver do
not include gratuities for airport baggage handlers or porters. Please
pay these baggage handlers and porters directly at the airport.

If you opt not to have a private driver, or a rental car, you can pre-purchase your airport transfers between the airport and your villa.

Option 3: Rent a Car from Hertz
Hertz Car rental has a modern fleet of vehicles for offer and special
to our Jamaican Treasures villas - we will get your car rental delivered
to your villas in and around Montego Bay for free!
Clients can also rent vehicles at the Montego Bay, Sangster International
Airport and also the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
A security deposit ranging from $500 is required on all rentals except
when a chauffeur is utlilized.
Special Chauffeur service for Jamaican Treasures clients: If you rent
a car and require the service of a private driver, the cost is $50 per
day for the driver.
Below are additional services that are also offered:

- Cell phone rental - USD $6 per day
