one with nature. The resort is spread over ten acres and it’s
all just steps from the resort’s five beachfront acres – two miles
of white sandy beach.
As you look out from your large, comfortable balcony you will
see all variety of flowers, hibiscus, banana, mango, and palm.
The grounds are immaculately kept, yet have the feel of being
totally in their natural state. The cabins are laid out around
the property so that no neighbors face each other directly and
are somewhat screened by the landscaped fauna. The native tree
frogs and birds will serenade you to sleep each night as the tropical
breeze rustles in the palm trees.
Award winning for their distinctive design and environmental integrity,
the 65 guests rooms at Sunset at the Palms are arranged in a collection
of 43 tree house-style, all natural wood in structure. The whimsical,
two-story lodgings are on stilts scattered throughout the 10 acre
tropical gardens that border the protected Negril Royal Palm Preserve.
Your Private Treetop Home
White drapes flutter over French doors in these airy, graceful
guestrooms. Chic, Asian-inspired furnishings include gauzy linens,
deep wood furniture and natural fibers.
The sleek, modern bathrooms feature splendid slate tiles, chrome
fixtures and glassenclosed showers with four body jets and two
showerheads. Daybeds on the balconies make you feel one with nature.
Noted for their distinctive design , the Deluxe Treehouse guestrooms
offer spacious quarters and feature king size platform beds, air
conditioning, satellite television, ceiling fans, safes, hair
dryers and direct-dial telephones. Natural fabrics and furnishings
add to the breezy island vibe.
Split-level Suites are the resort’s most exclusive accommodations.
Descend from the master bedroom to a sunken salon with a sofa
bed. Each suite boasts two full bathrooms and a private verandah.
The main building houses an open air lobby, gift shop, reception,
dining and a meeting room. There are numerous fountains and fishponds
that add to the enchantment of this warm and cozy hotel. There
is a beautiful pool that meanders like a freshwater lagoon complete
with a wooden bridge and swim up bar. The main bar is adjacent
to the pool and is complete with an entertainment stage and plenty
of seating. The food is excellent with breakfast and dinner buffets,
and a beach party and barbecue on Thursday.
