Drambuie Estate is one of Jamaica’s more charming and gracious private residences, surrounded by an extraordinary private gardens and spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and Montego Bay’s district views. The driveway is a long and impressive introduction into this estate which was originally built in the 1940’s by the Duke of Marlborough. The owner of Drambuie today, has carefully retained the charms of yester-year, restoring many of the original features of this estate, while implementing modern amenities such as air conditioning, cable TV, internet access, Sound system, VCR, large screen TV and more.

As you walk around the fabulous estate, you will see the cut stone walls of the main house which has so much history, of being brought from England over 200 years ago. There are majestic 16 feet high ceilings, with floor tiles which were originally brought in from England and South America. There is a wonderful Great Room with a pool table and this is a favourite room as it also houses the large screen TV, special games table for backgammon, chess, checkers, card games etc. This is a room for complete relaxation, as it opens up on the large veranda, with views towards the Caribbean Sea. Completely open to the tropical living, surrounded by the most charming interiors and attention to detail in every room.

The veranda at Drambuie is large and spacious and spans the length of the main house. Many activities occur in different areas of this wonderful veranda. This veranda is the setting for many wonderful al fresco dining, there is also a comfortable sitting area, a wonderful place for gazing at the views that this prime position offers and makes Drambuie one of the most prized locations in Jamaica. There is a perfect section for relaxing in the hammock, swaying towards the manicured gardens, and overlooking the many tropical varieties of plants and flowers which grace ‘Drambuie’s gardens. There are coconut trees, and fruit trees which often provide the fresh fruits for a wonderful breakfast fruit plate for guests.

There are 5 bedrooms at Drambuie, all feature air conditioning, cable TV, mini-fridge and their own en-suite bathrooms.

Master Bedroom: Largest bedroom measuring 20 X 30, Kingsize 4 poster bed. Computer access from this bedroom. Wonderful French doors open up onto the large veranda to fabulous seaviews. Bathroom with separate dressing room, double vanity, bidet, sunken tub, walk in shower.

The Cottage is just a short walkway, less than 50 steps away, and houses Bedrooms 2, 3, and 4. There are 3 therapeutic waterbeds and all three bedrooms have connecting doors which can also be locked for privacy. This is perfect for families.

The Hideaway is the 5th bedroom with a queensize bed, perfect for honeymooners. Own ensuite bathroom.

Drambuie is perfect for large weddings. The lawn from the back veranda is spacious and the back drop of the Caribbean Sea is spectacular. This is a perfect place for wedding photographs. The pool area is large and has a gazebo for shade. We love the atmosphere at Drambuie and can truly say that this is one of our favourite properties in Jamaica.
