Bogue Villa offers the opportunity to spend your vacation in
the luxury, privacy, and splendor of a private home in a quiet
residential neighborhood in a suburb of Montego Bay.
The villa was originally designed as a home where one could enjoy
a relaxed lifestyle, yet still be close enough to all the activities
of Jamaica’s fabulous North Coast.
The local host will be Sophia Baugh - the house-manager who will
take care of all the logistics. Clive Maxwell operates a taxi
service and he will be available for airport transfers, if needed.
Accommodations:
The master bedroom airconditioned and spacious room with a king
size bed, dresser, breakfast table, and a spectacular view of
the ocean and Montego Bay.
The East bedroom, airconditioned room with two full size beds,
dresser, breakfast table, and a tropical mountain view.
The west bedroom airconditioned with north and south views of
Montego Bay and tropical mountain view, ceiling fan, full size
bed, and a dresser.
The south bedroom airconditioned with ceiling fan, a full size
bed, dresser, writing desk, and a tropical view.
There is an over-flow bedroom on the 1st floor. This room is air-conditioned
with ceiling fan and bathroom attached.
The living room: Large open space with spectacular view of Montego
Bay. This room opens into the dinning room and kitchen and is
equipped with a 27inch TV, cable TV, stereo, CD/DVD and tape deck.
All rooms have a TV that is connect to the local cable. The book
shelf contains many books that may be of interest to visitors
to Jamaica, such as: Adventure guide to Jamaica, Essential Jamaica,
Foods of Jamaica, Highlights of Jamaica, Insight Guides Jamaica.
If you need you be connected to the Internet during your stay
- please let me know—there is a small charge for using this connection.
If you have a laptop with a wireless card—the WIFI service is
free.
Eating arrangements: Guests may have all their meals (Breakfast,
lunch, and dinner) prepared by Sophia. The cost for this option
is about US$25 per day per person. . If our food option is selected,
it is suggested that you let us know as soon as possible so that
we may discuss the nature and scope of the food preparation, the
purchase of the selected foodstuff, and any other special arrangements
that may be required.
Depending on the season, Bogue Villa has a variety of native fruits
and we invite guests to sample these exotic Jamaican/tropical
fruits: Mangoes, guneps, sugar cane, breadfruit, grapefruit, oranges,
tropical plums, avocado pears, ackee, naseberry, and soursop.
Transportation & Touring: Clive Maxwell Taxi Service offers transportation
to and from Montego Bay and daily tours at very affordable rates.
Using Clive for local travel around Montego Bay is convenient;
he will pick you up, shop with you and offer his assistance—then
take you back to the villa. A typical round trip usually cost
about US$15.00 to $20.00, depending on the size of the group.
Ask Clive about his unlimited ride package if you plan to do a
lot of traveling. Clive is a member of the Jamaica Union of Travelers
Association (JUTA)
Guests awake to free breakfast of fresh Jamaican Blue Mountain
coffee and an array of delicious tropical Jamaican fruits daily.
Lunch and dinner in fine Caribbean-style cuisine can be arranged
at Bogue Villa, or visit one of the nearby restaurants. Enjoy
your meals in the gazebo opposite the pool for complete relaxation.
All the rooms offer spectacular views, cable television, overhead
fans and air conditioning. The villa includes four bedrooms. The
master bedroom has a king-size bed and opens out to a spacious
veranda overlooking the pool with Montego Bay and the Caribbean
ocean in full view. It also has a connecting door that leads to
another bedroom, which is ideal for families with small children.
The second bedroom contains two full-size beds, and the other
two bedrooms contain one full-size bed in each room. In the living
room are: TV, stereo, VCR, DVD, CD and tape deck. Our affordable
rates provide an incredible opportunity to meet the people of
