Villa Santai in Bali 

One of our very special Jamaican villas has a sister villa named Villa Santai, and is located in the Pacific island of Bali. We just couldn't resist sharing it with you....It is a very private and luxurious villa, secluded in its elegance, yet only five kilometers east from Bali's cultural center of Ubud, with its abundance of art galleries, fine restaurants and dance performances. The word "Santai" in the Balinese language means relaxation and recuperation. Your comfort and serenity will be our highest priorities at Villa Santai. Our house staff includes an english speaking house manager, two chefs, two servers, two chambermaids, security personnel, a gardener and a driver, all of whom will provide you with a level of service that is unparalleled.

The villa's four romantic suites offer you spectacular views inside and out. As the villa sits high above the river valley nestled on the edge of the small village of Melayang, the sweeping views of the Petanu River Valley, ancient rice terraces and pristine jungle are breathtaking! And the decor throughout the villa is extraordinary with its Balinese art, antiques and fine hand-wrought details from Bali's finest artists.

Each of the Villa's four romantic suites has a different dramatic outlook on the valley. Even the spacious bathrooms are open to the sweeping views. The decor is "Old Bali" with original Indonesian and Balinese art, antiques and fine hand wrought details from Bali's finest artists. You'll be lulled to sleep by the scent of night jasmine and the rumble of the river far below.

Food and Beverage: Our chefs can prepare a large repertoire of menus including European, Continental, Balinese, Javanese and Japanese cuisine. Menu options are discussed with our guests upon their arrival. Food and beverages are charged locally at market price. Depending on the type of menus requested, the average cost per person per day for meals is about USD 25.00 - USD 30.00. The villa does not stock any wine and liquor as these items are very expensive in Bali; however, a limited list of alcoholic beverages including French, Italian, Australian and Chilean wines may be purchased at a local store (champagne is not available). Please note that Bali restricts liquor brought in to two bottles per person, without duty.

Transportation:

Round trip Denpasar Airport transfers are complimentary. Also complimentary during your stay is one 7-passenger, air-conditioned car plus driver (first tank of petrol included). A second 7-passenger, air-conditioned Toyota Kijang car may be contracted for a minimum of three consecutive days with at least four days advance notice for USD 60.00 per day. A driver's day is considered to be 12 hours maximum unless alternate arrangements are made, such as a shorter day prior to or after a day longer than 12 hours.

Reservation Policy:

Villa rental rates are on a per week basis (7 nights). Shorter stays of only 3 nights are available. A reservation deposit of 25% of the full rental rate is required at time of booking with the balance due 60 days prior to arrival date. If arrival date is less than 60 days from initial booking date, payment in full is required at time of booking confirmation.

Bookings during the Christmas / New Year Holiday season require a reservation deposit of 50% of the rental rate upon confirmation of the booking, with the balance due 90 days prior to arrival date.Villa Santai reserves the right to cancel any reservation if final payment is not received by the "due date", unless alternate arrangements have been made in advance. This payment would need to be in the form of a wire transfer directly to our bank account. Please note that the above rental rates do not include an 11% government tax.

A damage deposit of USD 500.00 is required for all bookings payable at time of final rental balance payment. The damage deposit will be refunded promptly after departure assuming that no damage is sustained during the guest's stay. All payments must be made by wire transfer. Villa Santai reserves the right to cancel any reservation if final payment is not received by the "due date," unless alternate arrangements have been made in advance. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 PM. If the property is not reserved by other guests on the arrival date and/or departure date, an earlier check-in and/or check-out time on the same date can be arranged without additional charge.

Payment Policy:

Villa Santai is not currently set up to accept personal checks or credit cards for payment of food and beverages, gratuities or other amenities. All additional costs incurred during your stay must be settled in cash with the House Manager before departure. For the guest's convenience, these charges can be estimated so that payment may be made in advance by wire transfer.

Gratuities / Tipping:

While many hotels automatically add this service charge to the guest's bill, it is merely suggested that if the guests are satisfied with the service during their visit, a gratuity of 10% of the rental rate be given to the House Manager at the end of their visit. Any gratuities are appreciated and will be shared among the entire staff.

Food and Beverages

Your food and beverages are not included in the rate and will be billed separately, at market value.

Transportation
For your convenience we are now providing complimentary to our guests one air-conditioned 7- passenger car plus driver (first tank of petrol complimentary) for use during the guests' stay. An additional air-conditioned car plus driver is available for hire at a rate of $60 per day, per car.

Please be advised that our property is not currently set-up to accept credit cards for payment of your food and beverages or other amenities. For your convenience, these charges can be estimated for you so that you may pay in advance by wire transfer. Please advise us of your decision so we can provide you with a pro-forma invoice and the wire transfer instructions for your payment.
