EbbTide is a beautiful, spacious and comfortable holiday villa
set in a tropical garden and ideally located on the beach at Silver
Sands, Jamaica.
This charming home has four air-conditioned bedrooms, each with
its private bathroom, and a large, airy living and dining area.
The seaside trellised patio, complete with hammock and lounge
chairs, is great for chillin’ and entertaining and opens out onto
the cool, refreshing turquoise sea and powdery white sand beach.
EbbTide guests are able to enjoy this ‘west beach’ almost exclusively
as it is completely separate from the magnificent ‘east beach’
which is the undisputed hub of Silver Sands.
We affectionately call this west beach ‘our little beach’ and,
sshhhhh…it’s EbbTide’s best kept secret! Here you can wade or
snorkel in the shallow water, take a leisurely stroll amidst lapping
waves at the water’s edge, collect conch shells, reach out and
touch the setting sun as it settles into the rippling pink and
gold water .. or simply drink in the peace and grandeur that is
Silver Sands!
A holiday at EbbTide includes the services of our housekeeper,
Charm and cook, Maisie. After establishing your preferred meal
times and dietary preferences, Maisie and Charm will prepare and
serve all daily meals and leave after the evening meal is over.
Maisie is a sunny personality and gourmet Jamaican cook. Indeed
her lobster in garlic sauce, roast pork and Jamaica-style fried
fish are to die for. And did we mention her banana bread and key
lime pie?
Charm manages the affairs of the house with tact and efficiency
and will ensure that your vacation is hassle-free and perfect
in every way. She will make arrangements for groceries and produce
to be delivered to the villa should you not wish to make the trek
into the village yourself. She will also be only too happy to
arrange with our friendly roster of tour guides for daily excursions
or with masseuses or manicurists for your pampering pleasure!
Our gardeners, Ben and Roy, are equally anxious to contribute
to your holiday experience. When in season, they will be delighted
to pick coconuts from the garden for you to sample the refreshing
coconut water or to arrange with the local fishermen to deliver
the ‘catch of the day’ right to your doorstep!
Facilities at EbbTide include a TV and CD/DVD player and ADSL
internet service. Owing no doubt to the fact that the owners are
all schoolteachers or librarians, there is a wonderful library
offering a wide assortment of reading material. So, curl up with
a book and learn about the diverse and rich tapestry that is Jamaica
or simply lose yourself in a contemporary romantic novel.
Whatever your fancy, the key ingredient of an EbbTide holiday
is relaxation .. pure and simple!
