Wharf House - Montego Bay 

Wharf House is a very comfortable home with waterfront location. It truly reflects the colourful history of Jamaica, with thick stone walls with gun slots, for soldiers who originally defended the wharf and its sugar trade from the Caribbean pirates. This 18th Century location, provides a small compound of five buildings which are connected by wonderful walkways, along landscaped gardens. Special to this property are two very old cotton trees which could share many stories of the past.

This Home has preserved a piece of history, and today has been turned into to the most beautiful and contemporary home, with all the charm and comfort to be enjoyed by its visitors. The old charm and rustic qualities are definitely returned and unique to this property.

The interiors of the Main House have been lovingly decorated to reflect the tropical casualness of the home. The owner of this house has a collection of Caribbean art and is displayed throughout the rooms. There is a wonderful mahogany dining table, large and stately, which features antique Chippendale chairs. The floors are or rich mahogany, stone and brick. Many features are reminders of past centuries.

The main house has 2 air conditioned bedrooms. The other cottage in another building gives privacy for another two air conditioned bedrooms. Across the lawn, another cottage has a play room with comfortable sofas, chairs and tennis/ping pong table. Very family and children friendly here.

This part of the bay which Wharf House backs onto, is an environmentally protected Marine Water Park. The scenes from here are spectacular. There is a lovely large wooden deck not far from the main house. Children love to feed the fish from here. The deck also serves as a wonderful place to have casual meals. The views at night are special, twinkling lights from Montego Bay, and the beautiful lights of the Cruise ships which cruise into port.

This villa is located less than ten miles from Montego Bay. It is located minutes drive away from beaches, more than a few world class golf courses, and tennis facilities, restaurants, water sports and craft markets. All guests can enjoy the first class resort facilities of the complimentary membership of yet another famous landmark, Round Hill which is only a few minutes drive from The Wharf House.

Master Cottage: Kingsize 4-poster bed, en-suite bathroom with tub-shower combination. Right next to the sea. Beautiful sea view all day. Romantic night view of lights of Montego Bay shimmering across the water. This bedroom is right beside the beach and waves so you will hear the gentle rhythm of waves lapping the shore.

Cottage 2 Twin 4-poster beds, en-suite bathroom with tiled walk-in shower. Bedroom opens to central garden. Bathroom opens to pool terrace. Sea and garden views.

Main House
Queen Room Queensize 4-poster bed. Shares connecting bathroom with Child’s Bedroom. Double-basin vanity and tub-shower combination. Ideal for parents or nanny sharing this suite with children. Sea and garden views.

Child’s Bedroom Low toddler-height twin beds. Shared bathroom connects to Queen Room. Also available to teens or adults. Powder Room In passageway by living room ~ 4th full bathroom with tub-shower combination

CHILDREN'S PLAY COTTAGE
The old brick building that housed a kitchen in 1755 is now a fully outfitted child's dream cottage. Stuffed animals, dolls, toys, games and miniature furniture fill this little fantasy room ... plus rocking lion, dollhouse with 4 tiny furnished rooms, Fisher-Price play kitchen, dressing-up clothes and little 4-poster bed for afternoon naps. Employment of a sweet Jamaican nanny enables the best of all holiday worlds: carefree parents and happy, well looked after children make a great vacation combination!
