Spyglass Hill is a original plantation house located on 10 acres
composed of beautiful expansive lawns and the most beautiful tropical
gardens. This Jamaican Villa Plantation house is large and spacious
at 7,000 sq feet with breathtaking oceanviews. The views from
this villa is totally spectacular taking in the panorama of the
blue azures of the Caribbean Sea, the coconut plantation, river
ravine and the district views of Montego Bay.
Spyglass hill is a massive property and comprises of a main
house which has four wonderful bedrooms. Imagine an estate with
3 swimming pools, ranging from a large maining swimming pool,
a children's wading pool for children and a devine plunge pool
with spectacular views.
A short walk across the beautifully kept green lawn is the Tree
House and the River House. The Tree house has a lovely king bedded
room, which makes the perfect hideaway for two. It has its own
ensuite bathroom and panoramic views. The Garden room has a queen
size bed, and a day bed, television and ensuite bath.
The River House is only a short distance away down a stone stairway.
This is an extremely private and charming two storey cottage,
2000 sq ft, and can house 4 additional guests. It has its own
plunge pool. There is a bedroom upstairs has a king size bed and
also has its own spacious day room, which is suitable for a child
in a day bed.
Down stairs is a queen size bed with it s own ensuite bathroom,
TV and overlooks the lovely river ravine. This is the only bedroom
that is not air conditioned, as most nights guests enjoy the cool
night air which rises up from the Great River below.
Spyglass Hill is a wonderful Villa with spectacular views and
gives visual beauty and awe to guests that stay in this villa.
Besides being pampered by the wonderful staff at this villa, with
home cooked meals, service when you need it and privacy when you
crave it. Spyglass Hill delivers a holiday that can be spent relaxing,
sunning napping, reading, or entertaining, and spending your holiday
on this original former plantation that shares much importance
in Jamaica's history.
Bed Configuration
All eight bedrooms have televisions and private ensuite bathrooms.
Seven of the eight bedrooms are air-conditioned for your comfort.
There are very cooling trade winds from up here at Great River
Private.
Main House
Master bedroom: King-size bed, large walk-in shower and double
basin vanity. Own private porch.
Bedroom 2: King-size bed, with walk in shower - Opens to large
furnished porch
Bedroom 3: Queen-size bed, walk in shower, with views of the garden
and partial ocean views
Bedroom 4: Queen-size bed - walk-in shower
There are 4 more bedrooms a short walk from the main house
Tree House:
King-size bed- large room with shutters all around this room -
very private for those seeking privacy. Garden views. Garden Room: Queen-size bed- This is situated
next door to the Tree House. There is actually a queen size bed
plus a twin bed, walk in shower and shutters around the room for
allowing those wonderful Tradewinds which roll off the mountains
in Great River Private.
River House
Bedroom 1 Upstairs: King-size bed, child's day bed in sitting
room- Walking down some lime stone steps your are lead to a large
River House which has an upstairs spacious hideaway and downstairs
is another queen bedroom and both these rooms have access to their
own plunge pool.
Bedroom 2 Downstairs: Queen-size bed, only un-air-conditioned
bedroom. There is a walk in shower, sutable as a bathtub and this
opens to a stone terrace which looks over a lovely tropical landscape
and the Great River ravine. This is the only un-air-conditioned
bedroom - but is mostly un-necessary as the cool mountain air
is enjoyed by Spyglass.
