· GoldenEye is the retreat built by James Bond novelist Ian Fleming in the 1950’s, where he penned 14 of his famous “007” thrillers here.
· Property now owned by Chris Blackwell, the founder of Island Records and the single person most responsible for turning the world on to reggae music. He launched many musicians into international stardom including U2,Roxy Music, Robert Palmer, Steve Winwood and Grace Jones. He was born in London but largely grew up in Jamaica. Blackwell helped make a worldwide superstar of the reggae’s greatest talent, Bob Marley.
· The resort is comprised of Fleming's original three-bedroom home along with four villas varying from one to three bedroom units. The entire property is available as one unit, or you may choose the main house or the individual private villas.
· Fleming also hosted many celebrities at his island retreat, including Errol Flynn, Elizabeth Taylor, Evelyn Waugh, Donald Sutherland, Cecil Beaton and Noel Coward, whose own Jamaican hideaway, Firefly, is nearby in Galina - now a museum.
