A Summer Place is truly one of Discovery Bays most wonderful
villas which has its very own 100 foot private sandy beach which
flows right into the gleaming Caribbean Sea. From the large verandah,
you can look out onto the large freshwater swimming pool and beyond
that is a grassy lawn which leads to your private beach. There
is a long jetty on the property which you may walk out to have
a drink and watch the sunset in a wonderful gazebo. Many memories
have been created here.
This home is perfect for families, it is spacious and playful.
Entering into the villa, you walk over a lovely bridge which is
situated over a pond with goldfish swimming below. As you want
into the main house, you enter into a large hallway which looks
directly out into the outdoor verandah. There are two large sitting
areas inside on either side, and this is where you will find all
the stereo equipment, TV's, CD player and many books to read during
your leisure.
This house reflects the typical Caribbean architecture with its
Ginger Bread style and the intricate fret work which runs along
the length of the outdoor verandah. This verandah is the most
well used section of the house where games are played or reading
your favorite book. Glancing up now and then to take in the view
of the crystal clear pool, and the grand horizon of the Caribbean
sea beyond your very own private beach. Paradise found.
The cook in this villa is very versatile and can present American,
Continental or Jamaican dishes. Depending on your mood, you can
eat dinner on the spacious outdoor verandah, or inside the dining
room where 250 year old heirloom dining table can seat 14 people.
If you wish, dinner can be served by the pool side gazebo, or
if you choose to have a walk out on the jetty and dine out there,
have your cocktails while watching the sunset over the bay.
Guests are more than welcome to use the snorkeling equipment to
explore the waters in your own back yard. There is also kayaking
equipment for exercise, gliding along the shoreline and viewing
the other magnificent houses along the beach area of Discovery
Bay.
