Jamaica Villa Budget
VILLA RENTAL
Your villa rental is quoted on a weekly basis and may be prorated for
days less than one weeks stay. All dollar amounts are in United States
dollars.
The villa rental includes:
A fully staffed villa with cook, housekeeper, gardener.
The staff is larger depending on the particular villa.
Amenities that are described on the villa page
Taxes are INCLUDED in the villa rental unless stated
otherwise
Rates are based on double occupancy per bedroom
There is a surcharge of $29 per night for an extra
guest. This fee is waived for infants under 6 months of age.
Please note, some villa require a higher extra-guest
surcharge.
Please note that check-in time is 1:00pm on arrival
day and check-out time is 11:00a.m. on departure day.
Tryall Club Villas check in time is 3:00pm and check
out time is 12: noon
Your cook will handle grocery shopping
and meal preparation. She will pre-purchase your first few meals plus
pantry staples based on the food list you submitted, then finish the
week's shopping after meeting you. At the week's end, she will present
receipts for all the food and beverages and reconcile your account.
Your housekeeper/laundress will care
for every detail in your villa and this includes the cleaning and freshening
up of your bedroom, bathroom, providing daily supply of fresh linens
and the general cleansliness of the villa.
The gardener maintains the gardens
immaculately each day and also maintains the swimming pool.
Most of the larger villas are staffed by a butler
and he generally facilitates the smooth running of the household, and
also may serve meals, tend bars or arrange activities, masseuses, nannies
or transportation for you while you are on holiday.
GROCERIES:
In general, an approximate food budget is $35-$45 per adult, per day
and $20 per day for children 10 and under. Some luxury villas require
a higher budget of $40-$60 per adult per day, and we will notify you
which villas this apply. These budgets however, are only estimates which
have been based on previous guest’s experience. If you request for meals
which include shrimp and lobster or imported beef, or require larger
than normal quantities, this budget will change.
The cook will go to the grocery and she will purchase the groceries
that are required to provide the meals you have both agreed upon, or
if you leave it up to her she will get what is required. You are welcome
to go to the grocery with her, or just leave it all up to her. Grocery
receipts are shown, however receipts are sometimes difficult to come
by in the market for fish or vegetable/fruits.
At the end of your stay, you may reimburse the cook for the groceries,
plus $50 taxi fare. If you have hired a private driver and van package,
the cook may simply take this van and driver to the grocery instead
of a taxi. Please arrange this with the cook and driver for convenience.
The cook will expect payment of groceries in US dollars. To avoid carrying
large amounts of cash on holidays, you may prepay for your groceries
through us for a $25 handling fee.
Once the groceries have been totaled up for the week, if there are any
amounts owing, you may simply pay the difference at the villa.
GRATUITIES:
Villas in Jamaica recommended total gratuity is equal to 10% of the
villa rent during the High Season and 15% during the low season. Villas
do require pre-payment of gratuities.
TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:
• 12-Seater air-conditioned Mini bus and private driver: $ 875 per week
(First tank of gas is free) or $135 per day, less than a week.
Additional Notes:
• High Season – December 15th – April 15th (some villas require a 7
night minimum)
• Low Season – April 16th – December 14th (some villas require a 5 night
minimum)
• Renting a villa less than a week, there is a 10% surcharge on the
nightly rates less than one week.
• Some villas require a $15 surcharge for guests over and above the
number of people stay at the villa, for the occasion of weddings/ corporate/special
events.
• Some villa require a site fee for wedding/corporate/special event
held at the villa
